GETTING STARTED

How do I create an account?

Open Sets and tap Get Started. You can sign up with your email or use Sign in with Apple. Your data is tied to your account and syncs automatically.

Does Sets work offline?

Yes. You can log workouts, use the rest timer, and access your history without an internet connection. Your data syncs when you reconnect.

Is Sets free?

Sets has a free tier with core logging features. A Pro tier with advanced analytics is coming soon.

LOGGING WORKOUTS

How do I log a set?

Start a workout, select an exercise, and enter your weight and reps. Tap the checkmark to log the set. Add more sets or exercises from the same screen.

Can I use the plate calculator?

Yes. The plate calculator is available during logging — tap the calculator icon next to the weight field to see how to load the bar.

How does the rest timer work?

The rest timer starts automatically after you log a set. You can customise the duration, pause, or skip it from the timer sheet that appears at the bottom of the screen.

PROGRESS & ANALYTICS

How is strength progress calculated?

Sets uses estimated 1-rep max (e1RM) based on your best set each session using the Epley formula. This gives a more honest picture of strength progress than total volume, especially during lower-rep training blocks.

What is the difference between Volume and Strength on the Strength screen?

Volume shows total weight × reps for that muscle group per session — useful for tracking training load. Strength shows the best estimated 1RM across exercises in that group per session — useful for tracking peak intensity over time. Together they tell you whether you're in a hypertrophy or strength phase.

How far back can I view my progress?

You can filter your progress charts by 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or all time.

ACCOUNT & DATA

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and all associated data from our servers. This action cannot be undone.

Is my data backed up?

Yes. Your workout data is synced to your account and stored securely. If you reinstall the app or switch devices, log back in and your data will restore automatically.

Who can I contact about my data or privacy?
